Have you ever had a jammed joint? You might not think much of it, but let me tell you, it can have a profound effect on your body's overall strength. To illustrate this point, picture a scenario where I often demonstrate this in-person. I ask someone to perform a muscle test, checking their hamstrings, glutes, or any muscle they prefer. Then, I do a little thumb-twisting on their thumb (any thumb), gently jamming their joint, and ask, "Did that hurt?" The answer is usually a resounding "No."

But here's where the real revelation happens. After jamming that joint, we retest the same muscle, and the results are consistent every single time. It fails. It's an eye-opening moment, to say the least. You see, any jammed joint can impact your body globally. Whether it's on the same side or the opposite side, the repercussions are real and far-reaching.
